Tri Tool Inc.
Rancho Cordova, CA USA |
Customer Challenge |
Tri Tool uses CAMplete TurnMill for advanced post processing and machine simulation on a Nakamura B-axis multi-turret turning center through Methods Machine Tools.
Many parts require them to access features and optimize tool paths to account for machine kinematics. Their current CAM software solution could not create the tool path motion needed to manufacture certain features without manually editing G-code. These hand edits at the machine are inefficient, time consuming and costly. |
Project Goals |
Tri Tool wanted a solution that required no manual edits using their existing CAM system, without adding additional cost.
|
Solution & Service |
Multiaxis has worked with Tri Tool for many years and recommended software customization using Autodesk's CAMplete TurnMill.
CAMplete TurnMill provides a complete solution bridging the gap between the CAM system they were using and the multi-tasking machine tool on their floor. Advanced optimization tools in CAMplete TurnMill were added to effectively produce an accurate tool-path for features without changing their existing CAM system. |
Business Outcome |
Tri Tool trusts these advanced solutions for post processing and machine simulation. They see the value in the product and solutions they can provide their customers.
By using Autodesk's CAMplete TurnMill, they can provide a seamless integration to support each project on time with high accuracy. |
Conclusion |
Tri Tool is known for performing tight tolerance machining along with manufacturing engineering needed to support each project for the Aerospace, Semiconductor, Power Generation, Government, Life Sciences and Oil & Gas industry.
